About the role

Whilst we are described by Ofsted as an outstanding school, there are specific challenges that our new Headteacher will face.  We have already mentioned the need to sustain “Outstanding” but in addition there are continuing challenges in managing the inherent tensions between high academic standards and being inclusive; reviewing the curriculum in line with the Rose Review, developing middle leaders and also our building- which whilst highly creative at the time it was built now presents a challenge in terms of space and maintenance.

It goes without saying that our new Headteacher will lead the whole school community, building on its success and continuing to focus on high quality education for all its pupils. A talented and capable Deputy or serving Headteacher, you will be an excellent, motivated organiser and manager, with a warm and inclusive leadership style. You will be a proven leader who will constantly strive to raise attainment levels and will bring success of engaging with the wider community.

It is important that your commitment to continuing improvement and a high standard of achievement for all pupils across the curriculum will be balanced by the value you place on developing personal and social skills. In return, you will encounter highly motivated and responsive children and a hardworking, caring team of staff, dedicated governors and parents, with a shared vision of achieving the best for all.
